Amy Reichelt, PhD, RP(Q), CPsychol Psychotherapist (RP(Q) & Coach

Dr Amy Reichelt is a psychotherapist, behavioural neuroscientist, coach, and founder of Cultivae Psychotherapy, her private practice. Drawing on psychotherapy, neuroscience, and over 15 years studying brain and behaviour, Amy helps people understand not just what they do, but what may be driving their patterns underneath.

Amy works with adults navigating food addiction, emotional eating, anxiety, perfectionism, shame, grief, burnout, identity transitions, and relationship difficulties. Her warm, trauma- informed approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work and IFS- informed therapy, emotion-focused and somatic approaches, mindfulness, and neuroscience.

Rather than seeing bingeing, avoidance, people-pleasing, or self-sabotage as something “wrong,” Amy encourages curiosity about the parts of ourselves that developed these strategies to cope or protect us. Within recovery, she helps clients understand the emotional and nervous-system functions of compulsive behaviours while building self-compassion, psychological flexibility, and healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions.
